Carousel 1 is pleased to offer you a model of a winning Indianapolis 500® car from Penske Racing, driven by four-time Indy® winner, Rick Mears. Mears' record-breaking career with Penske Racing at Indianapolis began in 1978. Mears captured three victories in USAC and was named Rookie of the Year at the 1978 Indianapolis 500®. In 1979 and 1984 he won the Indy 500® from the pole position.

Up until now, all of the Carousel 1 models have come from the 1950's, 1960's, and 1970's, and you are invited to join us as we explore other historic periods at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway®.
